The Silhouette- Falling for Fall

Back To School Slouch

Its FALL. Is anyone else really excited? This probably is my favourite season. Not just because its my birthday season. Fall lets you show off your style. Winter smothers your fashion with a huge down-filled coat. And Summer makes it unbearably hot to wanna wear any clothes at all.

Let's focus now on the important stuff, this awesome back to school look I concocted. The most important part.... THE SWEATER. You can have one pair of jeans, one pair of flats or heels, and an unlimited selection of sweaters to create the most stylish outfits every time. Its like a dress; you don't have to work hard to put that outfit together as its only one piece of clothing. Put the dress on and the look falls into place. Same with sweaters; keep everything else the same and change up the sweater and you will have a stylish hassle free semester! There are some amazing sweaters at H&M and Forever 21. I will try to post my sweater look soon.

Structure Your Business Plan

I'm at a point in my life where I have some friends in school and others out in the workforce. So this one is for you, you professional sexy ladies!

I go through fazes with my work clothes. Last winter it was big sweaters and tapered pants. This season it is all about the structured dress. It just screams power! I fell in love with a couple of Calvin Klein dresses at Winners. They have a huge selection and lots of different designs. They are perfect for work because you don't need a little sweater or jacket. The short sleeves add some coverage. This one is by Marc Jacobs but head to Winners to check out the CK ones. You can also add to it a structured handbag, as they are all the rage this season too.

Texturize Your Taste Buds
I've said this time and time again... texture texture texture. This is a hot dinner/bar look for, lets say the film festival coming up. It encompasses leather, suede, and sequins. Don't think this is over the top, you are keeping the colours fairly neutral and the right textures in the right place. You can also do....... sequin pants, leather booties, and a suede vest or bag. Show off all those rich textures at once!

My Fall Take Aways:
1. Sweaters are the new dress
2. Structure dresses
3. TEXTURE TEXTURE TEXTURE all at once.

Happy Shopping!!

Paparazzi These Looks

Jessica Alba
I was skimming through some gossip sites and found this gorgeous picture of Jessica. Just in love! She doesn't look skanky at all. Why this works? She's wearing flats, and boyfriend jeans to make the look casual. And her choice of colours were kept in the neutrals. No neon yellow see-through top with a white bra. That wouldn't be so hot. Overall, I am in love with this look. I now need to find a see-through nude top... american apparel ??

Sarah Jessica Parker
My friends all know, I have a weakness for neutrals and nudes. Probably 50% of my shoe collection is nude. So it would be natural for me to love this SJP look. The nude dress with a cream blazer and soft necklaces are timeless. I also like her touch of harsh black in the shoes. It all ties well together.

Street Styler

I found this on one of those street style blogs. This is a great fall look. Everyone has a classic pair of skinny jeans, brown belt and brown hedge or platform heels. The white blouse paired with the top fall trend, fur vest in grey warms up the would be summer look.
